Nintendo has published a new episode of Nintendo Direct dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the first Super Mario Bros. game released in Japan. There are plenty of exciting announcements. Check this out!
- Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. This new handheld device is inspired by the original Game & Watch systems, first released in 1980. This version has a modern control panel and such classic games as Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2). This “limited production” device will be available on November 13 for $49.99.
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. This is an upgraded and improved version of Super Mario 3D World for Nintendo Switch, which was originally released for Nintendo Wii U. Both single-player and multiplayer up to four people will be supported. It costs $59.99 and will be available on Feb 12, 2021.
- Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. This is something amazing: you can race in the real world with remote-controlled cars using with the Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite! Players place gates to create an individual racing line at home. The machine reacts to fences, accidents etc. Home Circuit releases on October 16 in two varieties — Mario and Luigi — for $99.99 each.
- The icing on the cake: Super Mario Bros. 35! This is the original Super Mario Bros., but it can be played by 35 people in multiplayer simultaneously. In this case, it will be available only in digital form on October 1, and it will be possible to play only for those who have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. This game will only be playable until March 31, 2021.
