All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia

November 12, 2019

Back in March, Google revealed that it was working on its own gaming streaming service. Unlike modern consoles, Google Stadia will use high-speed internet to stream games in real-time to a variety of devices. The fact that Google is entering the gaming market in such a unique way is sure to shake things up.

Even more impressive is that games running on the cloud service will be the same high quality as those on other platforms. Titles will be able to stream at 4K resolutions and run at 60 frames per second. Features such as high-dynamic range are also available and you can play them on any desktop through the Chrome browser. Chromecasts and Pixel smartphones will also support Google Stadia.

Of course, the platform will be nothing without a catalog of high quality games. Here are the 12 games that will be available on Google Stadia when it launches on November 19:

  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
  • Destiny 2: The Collection
  • Gylt
  • Just Dance 2020
  • Kine
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Samurai Shodown
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

Update: An additional 10 games have been added to launch day, bringing the total to 22.

  • Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2
  • Farming Simulator 2019
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Grid 2019
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Four more titles are expected to launch on Stadia before the end of the year:

  • Borderlands 3
  • Darksiders: Genesis
  • Dragonball Xenoverse 2
  • Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

Here is a breakdown of all the biggest titles we know we be coming to Google Stadia, although not all of the release dates are known.

Cyberpunk 2077 | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has become one of the biggest names in gaming thanks to the successful The Witcher series. It isn’t surprising then that their next game, Cyberpunk 2077, is one of the most eagerly anticipated games of 2020. The good news is that the futuristic open-world RPG will also release on Google Stadia. Although a release date has not been confirmed, it is set to release on April 16, 2020 on other platforms.

Doom Eternal | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Doom Eternal

Bethesda and id Software rejuvenated the Doom franchise in 2016 with a reboot. It was well received by critics and fans alike, becoming an unexpected hit. Doom Eternal is the sequel to that game. Players will take control of the same protagonist as he returns to Earth, which is now overrun with demons. Like its predecessor, it will focus on fast-paced combat and aggressive gameplay. Unfortunately, Bethesda have pushed the game back from its original launch date. It will now release on March 20, 2020.

Destiny 2 | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Destiny 2

Despite its flaws, Destiny 2 is still one of the biggest games around. The game will launch with Google Stadia on November 19 with a special version. Destiny 2: The Collection will include all currently released DLC and expansions, including both Shadowkeep and Forsaken. Those who buy a Google Stadia Pro subscription will be able to access the title for free as well. Thanks to a cross-save ability, players will be able to transfer their progress between different platforms. That means you can continue playing as your favorite Guardians regardless of what hardware you are using.

Red Dead Redemption 2 | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 first released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Rockstar stated that a PC version would arrive in the following year. Yet, a Google Stadia version was also revealed in October 2019. Whether it will receive the same graphical improvements as its PC counterpart is unclear. The developer has put significant effort into adding upgraded textures and models in the new release. Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch when Google Stadia becomes available on November 19.

Metro Exodus | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Metro Exodus

First-person shooter Metro Exodus has also been announced as coming to the streaming service. The game, which is a sequel to the earlier titles, concludes the story that began in 2010. The fact that Metro Exodus was coming to Google Stadia has caused a minor controversy. After all, the title is exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC. Many assumed it would not come to Google Stadia until it was also available on other digital stores such as Steam. Deep Silver has not yet revealed an exact launch date for Metro Exoodus on the platform, though it should be coming sometime before the end of 2019.

Mortal Kombat 11 | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Mortal Kombat 11

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive on Google Stadia in November. The fighter originally launched on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in April 2019. Mortal Kombat 11 could be a huge test for the service. It is one of just a few fighters that Google has announced. In a genre that requires frame perfect responsiveness and no signal input lag from controllers, streaming will ask serious questions.

Darksiders Genesis | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Darksiders Genesis

The Darksiders series has been quiet for some time outside of some remasters for the original games. THQ Nordix and Airship Syndicate are changing that with Darksiders Genesis. The game will be the first to allow co-op gameplay, allowing players to take control of both Strife and War. Unlike many other titles coming to Google Stadia, Darksiders is not a straight port. It will actually launch on PC and the cloud-based service first on December 5, 2019. Console players will have to wait until February 2020.

Marvel’s Avengers | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Marvel’s Avengers

Even though some have criticized Marvel’s Avengers for its anticlimactic reveal, it is still one of 2020’s most anticipated games. The E3 2019 announcement confirmed the upcoming game would launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Whether it will launch across all platforms simultaneously is currently unknown. But players will definitely be able to play through the Kamala Khan focused story on the cloud service.

Square Enix is also looking to add several other titles from its catalog to the service. Final Fantasy XV and the three latest Tomb Raider games will all come to Google Stadia soon after it launches. Square has not confirmed the exact release dates for any of their games for Google Stadia.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is already closely associated with Google Stadia. The company used it as the main test game for the service in a closed beta in October 2018. As an early adopter to the platform, Ubisoft has something of a head start over its rivals. They are taking full advantage it seems, bringing at least eight titles to the service. The flagship of these, though, is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This will mean can experience the action-role playing game across Google’s supported devices from its launch on November 19.

The Elder Scrolls Online | All the Biggest Games That Are Coming to Google Stadia | Gammicks

Debuting in 2014, it is available across a variety of platforms already, including all major consoles. News that it is coming to Google Stadia, then, is not that surprising. Bethesda have not announced an exact release date so it is unknown when players on the service will experience Tamriel. However, all DLC will be available, including the recently released Elsweyr expansion.
