Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

Since 2007, Nintendo has released several Mario & Sonic crossover games tying into the Olympic Games. These titles see Nintendo and Sega’s favorite mascots team up to tackle a variety of sporting events. The latest adventure for the pair is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Set to release on November 5 in North America and November 8 in Europe, it will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Events such as swimming, boxing, and soccer will be included. There’s even a special 2D pixel art game mode inspired by classic NES and SNES titles available.

Just Dance 2020

Just Dance 2020 is the latest installment in Ubisoft’s dance rhythm series. As usual, players will have to match the dance moves shown on screen. They can either use motion controllers or a specially designed smartphone app that can be downloaded for Android and iOS.

Songs from Ariana Grande, The Black Eyed Peas, Pitbull, and Panic! at the Disco will be included. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and even the Nintendo Wii.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC

Red Dead Redemption 2 was easily one of the best games of 2018. It won numerous Game of the Year awards and was hugely successful both commercially and critically. However, only those who had a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One were able to play the game.

The good news is that PC players are finally going to get a chance to grab a copy now that the port has been completed. It will come to the Epic Games Store first and then Steam in December.

Death Stranding

When designer Hideo Kojima left Konami in 2015, there was plenty of speculation about what he would do next. He had been involved with the Metal Gear series dating back several decades. Fans were therefore eager to see what type of new franchise he would create.

The answer is Death Stranding, the first game from Kojima Productions as an independent company. In the game, players control a character who can enter a strange upside-down world when he dies. You have to make strong connections with the few remaining survivors following a catastrophe to progress. Death Stranding will be available on PlayStation 4.

Need For Speed: Heat

Developed by Ghost Games, Need for Speed: Heat is a brand new entry in the long-established racing franchise. It is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Like many of its predecessors, this new game will be set in an open world based on Miami.

In addition to a diverse collection of environments, there are more than 120 cars, including the return of Ferrari. Players can switch between night and day, swapping illegal street races with sanctioned events that won’t draw the attention of the cops.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

EA has not had a particularly great time with the Star Wars franchise since licensing the rights from Disney. Both Battlefront games disappointed fans, while the company has also canceled several other titles.

EA will be hoping to change all that with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This title focuses on a singleplayer story. Players will take control of Cal Kestis as he travels to planets such as Kashyyyk trying to fight back against the Empire. The game takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Pokémon Sword and Shield

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are two of the most eagerly-awaited games in the franchise in a long time. These titles will take place in a completely new region known as Galar. It is based on the United Kingdom, with some Pokémon even having specific Galarian forms so they fit in with the region.

As well as new mechanics that will make some monsters gigantic, the gameplay will be more open-ended. Pokémon Sword and Shield will be available on Nintendo Switch.

Shenmue III

Shenmue III was revealed at Sony’s E3 press conference in 2015. The surprise announcement drew a huge amount of speculation, with a subsequent Kickstarter raising more than $7 million.

Series director Yu Suzuki is back to take charge and conclude the story that first began back in 1999 on the Sega Dreamcast. Shenmue III is set predominantly in China as Ryo Hazuki attempts to discover who killed in father.
