Good news for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans. The game has received three surprise maps and some other features sure to please veteran fans and newbies alike.
Arguably, the most important new map is Killhouse. Of course, “new” is relative — this map was first featured in the original 2007 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The other new maps include Drainage (perfect for shorter matches and more intimate combat) and Al-Raab Airbase (which is larger).
Unfortunately, there is a slight catch: there is no special playlist for Drainage or Al-Raab Airbase, meaning the only way to experience these maps is through private matches. Fan-favorite Killhouse, however, has its own 24/7 Mosh Pit playlist.
There has been no word about when the other maps will get their own playlists. But these new maps come alongside important game updates that did everything from reducing the game’s exorbitant file size to nerfing the AUG tactical rifle.
Additionally, there are new killstreaks to discover, including Foresight and Bombardment. So, there is some new material to enjoy while you check out these new maps with your friends.
