Since it was announced last year, fans have been clamoring for the upcoming Dead Space remake. Now, Motive Studios has confirmed that the game should come out in early 2023.
This information comes to us via today’s livestream from the developers. While the stream mostly focused on the creepy (but awesome) audio in the game, the devs let slip that they are targeting early 2023 for the release of this remake.
To some fans, that may be too long of a wait. But the developers pointed out that their goal is to release the best possible version of this game for players. “We want to make sure that we are in a place where the game we’re going to deliver is going to be building upon the expectations of fans,” they said in the stream. “So right now, we’ll say early next year. We have a date in mind and we want to make sure that everything converges for this.”
If you really want to see more of the game, the devs teams will soon be able to do a full walkthrough of the game (which, to be clear, is still in alpha status). After that, we may see even more impressive update videos. And considering how impressive the realistic physics and audio have been in previous videos, players are likely to be blown away.
In a few weeks, we’ll get another update video focusing on the game’s art direction. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the game so far in the comments!
