Fall Guys PlayStation Players Must Redownload Game in May

Fall Guys has been a multiplayer hit across multiple platforms, including PlayStation. But the game is getting a new launcher that will make players redownload the game to keep playing after May 9.

Why the need for a new launcher and new download? Simply put, developer Mediatonic had previously been using Sony as a publisher. Now, Epic Games will be the new publisher, and this requires a new game launcher.

Don’t worry, though: any game progress you have made and costumes you have unlocked will transfer over. And speaking of costumes, you’ll get a free shark costume once you complete the transfer.

The new launcher is actually coming on April 5, and players will see the old launcher icon greyed out. A new launch icon will be available, and you can only use the new launcher to launch the game after May 9.

Rest assured, though, that gameplay should be the same, with merely a few changes behind-the-scenes to help the title play better. And after you get the new launcher, you are free to delete the older content to make room on your system.
