Hogwarts Legacy is the much-anticipated open-world game that lets players explore the magical world of Harry Potter. And that game is getting a PlayStation State of Play livestream this week on Thursday, March 17.
The livestream will take place at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. To check it out, all you have to do is cruise on over to PlayStation’s official channel on either YouTube or Twitch. The show should last about 20 minutes and give us an in-depth look at the title’s gameplay.
In fact, 14 minutes of the livestream will focus entirely on gameplay footage taken from a PlayStation 5 version of the game. The rest of the stream will be made up of stories, anecdotes, and insights from the Avalanche Software team.
News about this game leaked way back in 2018, but it was only officially announced in 2020. Various events in our Muggle world delayed the game to 2022, and Warner Brothers maintains the game is still coming this year despite not having a firm release date.
While most players will want to recreate the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, this game is effectively a prequel to their famous story. This game is set in the 1800s, but there will still be plenty of familiar elements that range from trips to Hogsmeade to getting sorted by the Sorting Hat.
And while PlayStation is hosting this State of Play, Hogwarts Legacy is not a system-exclusive. Muggles will be able to play this game on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
