While it was already going to be too late for Halloween, the horror game The Medium was originally slated for a December 10, 2020 release. However, developer Bloober Team announced today on Twiiter that the game has been postponed to January 28, 2021.
What’s behind the delay? As with many creative projects, COVID-19 has delayed this game. Bloober Team is headquartered in Poland, and their recent coronavirus outbreaks have led to a delay of a number of titles, including Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077 was recently pushed back to the December 10 release date that The Medium has now vacated.
On the bright side, Bloober Team promises The Medium will be a more innovative and polished game. So, while horror fans may hate to wait, the postponed game will be a better experience for gamers all around the world.
