Mortal Shell Physical Release Coming on October 2

On Thursday, developer Cold Symmetry announced that due to popular demand, Mortal Shell will get a physical release on October 2.

“We’ve heard your requests. in fact we’ve been stunned by the sheer amount of people who have asked for a physical edition of Mortal Shell,” the studio wrote on the official Mortal Shell blog. “So we’re delighted to reveal that a boxed version of Mortal Shell is now in production!”

This announcement comes one day after the studio had announced that they would be unable to open pre-orders for Mortal Shell on consoles.

The digital edition of Mortal Shell will release on August 18. It can be pre-ordered for PC, PS4, and Xbox in the Epic Games Store. A Steam release is coming in 2021.

The physical edition of Mortal Shell will release on October 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in North America and Europe. It will come with an exclusive fold-out poster and softback artbook with never-before-scene concept images and character art. The physical edition will retail at $29.99 (€34.99 / £29.99).

Cold Symmetry notes that the PC edition of the physical version will not carry a disc. Instead, it will contain a key that can be redeemed on the Epic Games Store.
