Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser, the creative director of games such as Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, has set up a new company in the U.K.
A user of the GTA Forums noticed that Houser has registered Absurd Ventures in Games with Companies House, the official government organization responsible for businesses running in the U.K.
According to the listing, the new company will provide “ready-made interactive leisure and entertainment software development.” Houser is also named as a producer and creative director within the company, suggesting he has a leading role within it.
The Companies House listing comes after similar registrations in the U.S. Houser has created two companies based in Delaware under the names Absurd Ventures LLC and Absurd Ventures in Games LLC.
Houser is best known for his work at Rockstar, which he co-founded with his brother Sam Houser. The pair led the development studio for more than two decades. Dan left the company in 2020 after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2.
