Sony has given fans a first glimpse at the character creator that will be available in Demon’s Souls.
In a post on the official PlayStation Blog today, the company detailed the new system, which features a variety of extra customization options that were not available in the original PlayStation 3 game. In total, players will have up to 16 million different combinations to choose from when creating their own characters.
“With this new character creator, you will be able to customize your appearance with up to 16 million permutations,” said Gavin Moore, SIE Worldwide Studios’ creative director for external development.
“We’ve added many more customization options than you’ll remember from the PS3 game, and also worked hard to ensure there is a satisfying variety possible for those who wish to tinker with every slider. Play as yourself, or who you want to be.”
The blog post also revealed more details about the Photo Mode in Demon’s Souls. This tool will allow players to remove their character entirely from images for landscape screenshots or turn certain armor options on or off. There are also a number of filters to choose from to change colors and styles.
Demon’s Souls is expected to launch on November 12 as a launch title for the PlayStation 5. The game will also be exclusive to Sony’s next-gen console.
