Everyone loves The Game Awards, especially its new game announcements. The 2019 Game Awards will stream live on Thursday, December 12. Recent rumors seemed to indicate that Resident Evil 3 would be one of the games revealed on the show.
On Thursday, Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley took part in a Reddit AMA. He revealed 10 game announcements are indeed coming to the show. Nevertheless, he said that none of the games have leaked and RE 3 is not one of them.
“There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these ‘leaks’ are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing,” he wrote.
He also mentioned that most rumors about the show are fake news. “As always the Internet has a lot of really bad information out there about what you think is at the show… but it sure is fun to read,” he wrote.
Well, we still know: the Resident Evil 3 Remake is on its way to us. Cover art for the game briefly appeared on the PlayStation Network store on Tuesday. Users posted the covers to Twitter before they were taken down. So there is no need to worry about the upcoming announcement. But how long it may take — that’s the direct question for Capcom.
