The original Titanfall helped redefine the way players and developers think about first-person shooters. But now Respawn has pulled that game from digital storefronts.
Previously, players could buy digital copies of the game for both PC and Xbox. Now, however, the only way to play the game is to pick up a physical copy. Alternatively, if you have EA Play and Xbox Game Pass, you’ll still be able to access the game until March 1, 2022.
Respawn made the announcement on Twitter:
Why would you want to still access the game, though? That’s the good news: despite pulling copies off of digital storefronts, Respawn will keep servers online for those who want to play.
What’s the bad news? While this has not been confirmed by Respawn, many players assume they yanked the game from these stores because of persistent DDoS attacks that have made it nearly impossible to enjoy online play via PC.
