Hades is the latest Roguelike game from Supergiant Games, creator of Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. Just like its predecessors, Hades has become quite successful both in terms of reviews and sales.
On Sunday, Supergiant announced that sales of Hades have exceeded one million copies. Of these, 700,000 were sold during the early access period which was held from December 6, 2018 to September 16, 2020. The official release took place on September 17 for PC and Nintendo Switch — so Hades sold another 300,000 copies in just three days.
The game’s plot revolves around ancient Greek mythology. Players control Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to escape from the Underworld to reach Mount Olympus.
