There are almost 30 titles expected to launch over the next few weeks, including some pretty big hitters. Here is every video game release date for March 2020.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus

Release date: March 5, 2020

Platform: PlayStation 4

From Arc System Works, Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a fighting game that supports up to two players. The combat takes place in a 2.5D environment, with characters and locations taken directly from the RPG Granblue Fantasy.

Murder by Numbers

Release date: March 5, 2020

Platforms: Nintendo Switch and PC

Murder by Numbers is a mystery detective game that challenges the player to solve a wide array of puzzles to unlock clues. They can then use the information from the clues to interrogate suspects. The ultimate goal is to find out who is lying or telling the truth to conclude each case.

4th Generation Warfare

Release date: March 5, 2020

Platform: PC

4th Generation Warfare is a unique strategy game that gives players the chance to simulate warfare in the 21st century. However, you don’t just have to rely on traditional combat but can also utilize more unconventional tactics. These include trade wars, cyberwarfare, and even propaganda campaigns.

Wunderling

Release date: March 5, 2020

Platforms: Nintendo Switch and PC

Unlike traditional platformers, Wunderling sees players take on the role of a video game bad guy. This standard underling has learned the ability to jump rather than just walk across the screen. He now chases down the hero in an attempt to get revenge.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX

Release date: March 6, 2020

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a remake of the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team. Developed from the ground up for the Nintendo Switch, it includes additional features such as mega evolutions.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Release date: March 10, 2020

Platforms: PC and Xbox One

This is the sequel to the highly acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest. Microsoft is launching the platformer directly onto Xbox One and PC through the Xbox Game Pass service. It now features an autosave system and a new way of upgrading your abilities.

Langrisser I & II

Release date: March 11, 2020

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch

Langrisser I & II is a collection that bundles together both games in one package. Each of them is a complete remake of the original strategy RPGs. They include upgraded graphics and better performance over their predecessors. 

Hidden Through Time

Release date: March 12, 2020

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Hidden Through Time is a game that takes the concept of “Where’s Waldo?” and applies it to video games. Players have to find hidden objects on a variety of maps, using cryptic clues to help them. 

My Hero: One’s Justice 2

Release date: March 13, 2020

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC

My Hero: One’s Justice 2 is a sequel that expands on the 3D arena fighting combat of the first game. Featuring anime-style visuals and an over-the-top perspective, it is a distinctive fighting game. 

Overpass

Release date: March 13, 2020

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Coming to Switch after launching on other platforms last month, Overpass is a difficult racing game. Players have to carefully navigate buggies and quads over rough terrain and up steep hills. One mistake can mean starting all over again, making it a tough experience. 

Dead or School

Release date: March 13, 2020

Platforms: PC and Nintendo Switch

Dead or School is a hack-and-slash RPG where players have to battle against a horde of infected zombies. Taking place in an infested Tokyo, there are a variety of customization options and abilities to make each character unique.

Nioh 2

Release date: March 17, 2020

Platforms: PlayStation 4

The follow-up to Team Ninja’s 2017 game, Nioh 2 is an action RPG exclusive to PlayStation 4. Despite its name, the game is actually a prequel to the original title, set in the late 1500s.  

La-Mulana 2

Release date: March 17, 2020

Platforms: Switch

La-Mulana 2 is an action-adventure game that acted as a follow-up to its highly acclaimed predecessor. It has been available on other platforms for some but will finally arrive on Nintendo Switch on March 17.

MLB The Show 20 is the latest entry in the distinguished baseball franchise. Exclusive to the PlayStation 4, the sports sim features licensed players from the Major and Minor baseball leagues.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Release date: March 20, 2020

Platform: Nintendo Switch

The fifth installment in the celebrated life simulation franchise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20. Online support will allow up to eight players to occupy the same island for the first time.

DOOM Eternal

Release date: March 20, 2020

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Originally set to release at the end of 2019, DOOM Eternal was delayed until March 20. This has allowed the developers to add further polish to the experience. It is set two years after its predecessor and has refined the combat from that game. Enemies have also been redesigned to more closely resemble their original forms in the earlier titles.

Half-Life: Alyx

Release date: March 23, 2020

Platforms: PC (VR)

Half-Life: Alyx is the first game to release in the celebrated first-person shooter franchise since 2007. Unlike its predecessors, it is a virtual reality game and as such will feature different gameplay. The Valve game will follow Alyx and her father Eli in a story set before Half-Life 2.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III

Release date: March 23, 2020

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III is an RPG that has previously released on PS4 and Switch. It features classic JRPG gameplay, including turn-based combat and a story that directly carries on from its predecessors.

Bleeding Edge

Release date: March 27, 2020

Bleeding Edge is Ninja Theory’s latest game, coming exclusively to Windows 10 and Xbox One. It is a multiplayer-only combat game where players battle it out using a choice of three different classes.

Moons of Madness

Release date: March 27, 2020

Moons of Madness is a brand new horror game from developer Rock Pocket Games. The game uses a first-person perspective as players explore a Lovecraftian Mars in a story-driven experience. 

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4

The Complex

The Complex features a frantic London that has suffered a massive bio-weapon attack. Players take on the role of scientists attempting to develop a cure to the condition. It features real video footage and a choose-your-own-story style narrative.

Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal is an updated version of Persona 5 that brings lots of new content. This includes additional characters, extra storylines, and entirely new locations to explore.
