Every Video Game Release Date for March 2022

After the somewhat barren months of January and February, the next four weeks or so are certain to bring plenty of great games for gamers of all sorts. March will see big games like Gran Turismo 7, WWE 2K22, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. There are strategy games in the form of Crusader Kings 3 and AAA exclusives like GhostWire: Tokyo to look forward to.

So, no matter what you are into, March will have something to offer. Here is every video game release for March 2022 to keep an eye out for.

Elex 2

Release Date: March 1

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Elex 2 is an open-world RPG where players take control of Jax as he defends the world of Magalan from the threat of the Skylands. This enemy wants to reshape the post-apocalyptic planet in their own image. Inspired by sci-fi and fantasy, it features a unique blend of genres as Jax travels around the environment using a jetpack. 

Far: Changing Tides 

Release Date: March 1

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Far: Changing Tides is a vehicle adventure game about a joy journeying on a ship in an attempt to find a new home to live peacefully. Described as atmospheric and emotional, players will have to survive in the hostile world and deadly waters as they explore the ruins of society. 

35MM 

Release Date: March 2

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

35MM, a first-person walking simulator about two people traveling across a post-apocalyptic world. Following a global epidemic, they journey through the wasteland of what was Russia as they try to survive. The game was previously available on PC from 2016 but is now coming to consoles.

Babylon’s Fall 

Release Date: March 3

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5

Babylon’s Fall is an action RPG game from PlatinumGames and Square Enix that also features hack and slash gameplay. Players take on the role of a Sentinel tasked with scaling Ziggurat, a huge tower. The game supports co-op as well as solo play, with players able to upgrade their character as they move up the tower. 

Beholder 3

Release Date: March 3

Platforms: PC

In Beholder 3, players assume the role of a character living in a brutal country that controls everything through highly oppressive laws. Released from prison by a high-ranking security officer, you work for the government and spy on citizens, killing those who get in the way or become targets for the state. 

Gran Turismo 7

Release Date: March 4

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

PlayStation’s premier racing series is returning in the form of Gran Turismo 7. It will bring back the GT Simulation Mode from earlier games as well as more traditional racing circuits and cars that were missing from Gran Turismo 6. Like its recent predecessors, the racer will also have dynamic time and weather effects. 

Gunborg: Dark Matters

Release Date: March 4

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One

Gunborg: Dark Matters is a stylistic and colorful action platformer that features a nostalgic 80s-inspired synthwave soundtrack. You must battle against a horde of aliens and deadly robots in the fast-paced game that is all about avoiding damage and quickly killing the enemy. 

Music Racer: Ultimate

Release Date: March 4

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Music Racer: Ultimate is a racing game crossed with a rhythm title. Racing through neon levels, you have to dodge obstacles and collect items in time with the music. An updated version of the original game, the Ultimate edition lets you upload your own music to use during races.

Triangle Strategy

Release Date: March 4

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Triangle Strategy is a tactical RPG from Square Enix. Featuring turn-based gameplay that is similar to Fire Emblem, players move units across a grid to outmaneuver the enemy. Set in the fictional world of Norzelia, the action is focused on a seemingly endless war between three nations. 

Distant Worlds 2

Release Date: March 10

Platforms: PC

Distant Worlds 2 is a 4X strategy game set in space. With pausable real-time gameplay, players can explore galaxies of up to 2,000 star systems and countless planets to visit. As a massively multiplayer experience, it is up to each player to decide how to operate in the world, whether to peacefully gather resources or take what you want by force. 

Submerged: Hidden Depths

Release Date: March 10

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Submerged: Hidden Depths is a third-person exploration game where two characters must travel across an ancient world that has been submerged by water. By searching through the ruins, you may find the means to restore the towering city as you sail across the waters and collect mysterious relics. 

Workshop Simulator

Release Date: March 10

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Workshop Simulator is the latest simulator game that puts players into the role of ordinary jobs and tasks. This time around, you work in a workshop, restoring, cleaning, painting, and fixing broken parts and items. 

.hack//G.U. Last Recode

Release Date: March 11

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a collection that contains all three of the original games in the series. They have each been remastered with updated visuals, sound, and gameplay and are accompanied by a brand new fourth game that expands the story. 

WWE 2K22

Developed by Visual Concepts and 2K Sports, WWE 2K22 is the latest entry in the long-running WWE series and the first since 2019’s WWE 2K20. This time around, the 2K Showcase features the career of Rey Mysterio alongside the MyRise and MyFaction modes. 

GTA 5 

Release Date: March 15

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

A brand new version of the 2013 game Grand Theft Auto V, along with GTA Online, is coming in March for next-generation consoles. This version features support for 4K resolution and framerates of 60 FPS, along with ray tracing and HDR options. Players can also expect faster loading times and features such as haptic feedback. 

Tunic

Release Date: March 16

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Tunic is a Legend of Zelda-inspired game where you take on the role of a small fox adventuring in a monster-filled world. Fighting off enemies, you must explore the world and discover the hidden secrets and treasures to help you on your quest. 

This Means Warp

Release Date: March 17

Platforms: PC

This Means Warp is a roguelite game for up to four players, who must manage the various systems of a spaceship. Featuring procedurally generated campaigns, players have to upgrade the craft as they battle against various enemies. 

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin

Release Date: March 18

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is a Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo Games developed game being published by Square Enix. The action RPG is a dark fantasy retelling of the original Final Fantasy game as a group of characters are brought into the world to battle against the Chaos. 

Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? 

Release Date: March 18

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? Is a full-motion video game about a murder mystery. Developed by Wales Interactive, the action focuses around a yearly family quiz as you attempt to save the uncle before he meets his grisly fate. 

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles

Release Date: March 24

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is a 3D puzzle platformer where platters take control of a squishy bioluminescent creature. In the game, players explore the Great Depths and take control of other creatures as they travel around the environment in an attempt to return the world to its natural blue color. 

GhostWire: Tokyo

Release Date: March 25

Platforms: PC and PlayStation 5

GhostWire: Tokyo is a Tango Gameworks and Bethesda game that sees the player explore a futuristic Tokyo in which all of the city’s citizens have mysteriously disappeared. An action-adventure game, it is played from a first-person perspective and players can use a variety of psychic and paranormal abilities to fight against the ghosts now haunting Tokyo. 

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Release Date: March 25

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Kirby and the Forgotten Land in the latest entry in Nintendo’s platforming series Kirby. In this new 3D adventure, players navigate a mysterious world that has been abandoned by a past civilization. 

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 

Release Date: March 25

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a spin-off of the Borderlands series by Gearbox Software. Set in a whimsical fantasy world, players embark on a quest to stop the Dragon Lord. The game features the same looter-shooter gameplay the series is known for in a more fantastical setting. 

Crusader Kings 3 

Release Date: March 29

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Paradox Interactive’s Crusader Kings 3 is coming to consoles after a 2020 release on PC. Like its predecessors, the game gives players the chance to build a dynasty as they attempt to ensure their house’s name and legacy lives on through the ages. To do this they must use military force, diplomacy, and politics to remain on top. 

In Nightmare

Release Date: March 29

Platforms: PlayStation 4

In Nightmare is a horror adventure game with a strong focus on the narrative. PLayers have to sneak past enemies and solve diverse puzzles as they take control of a young boy who is trapped in his own dark world.

Uragun 

Release Date: March 30

Platforms: PC

In Uragun, players take control of a giant mech unit as they face off against wave after wave of corrupted machines that are aiming to wipe you out. Featuring top-down shooter gameplay, this is a fast-paced futuristic game that forces players to think on their feet. 

Weird West

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Release Date: March 31

Weird West is an action RPG that is played from a top-down perspective. Set in the Wild West of the American frontier, players control heroes who encounter supernatural elements. Actions performed by the player are also permanent, meaning every choice has definite consequences and permadeath is possible.
