Every Video Game Release Date for November 2020

Well, this is it. November is the month when both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X finally launch. Of course, that doesn’t just mean that there is new hardware available. The launch of the two next-gen systems also means lots of new games. There’s also the fact that November is traditionally the busiest time of the year for big releases. Those two factors combined mean that this is set to be a bumper month for gamers.

Whether it is the usual big hitters like Call of Duty or remasters for the new consoles like Marvel’s Spider-Man — there will be something for everyone. That’s even more true for those who are picking up a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.

The Wizard and The Slug 

Release Date: November 2

Platforms: PC

According to developer Silkworm, The Wizard and the Slug is a story-driven 2D platformer. Taking inspiration from the likes of Cave Story and Super Meat Boy, it features an agile slug. The slimy creature is on a quest to find love and is joined by his wizard companion. 

Breathedge

Release Date: November 5

Platforms: PC

Breathedge is a space survival game that has been in early access since 2018. November will finally see it launch properly, giving players the chance to experience the funny and wacky narrative. Joined by an immortal chicken, the player has to survive following a deadly crash.

Kosmokrats

Release Date: November 5

Platforms: PC

Kosmokrats is essentially a city-building game set in space. Using a specialized drone, players can build colonies, ships, and other complex structures. It’s then up to you to decide whether to rule as a brutal dictator or create a socialist utopia. 

Realpolitiks II

Release Date: November 5

Platforms: PC

Realpolitiks II is a grand strategy game in the same style as Europa Universalis. Players are given the choice to lead any country in the world in an attempt to secure world domination. With sophisticated gameplay, users will have to balance politics while tackling global emergencies.

Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia

Release Date: November 6

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

An action role-playing game, Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia based on the hit television series. This is the first time that any Bakugan game has been released on the Nintendo Switch and it includes a completely original story. Featuring strategic battles, it will also offer online multiplayer.

Dirt 5

Release Date: November 6

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

The latest entry in Codemaster’s signature rally series, Dirt 5 is due to launch in November. Featuring a story-driven career mode and a suite of modes, this is the most ambitious release in some time. Thanks to a wide range of vehicles, courses, and customization options, Dirt 5 will have something for everybody.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered

Release Date: November 6

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Only officially revealed this month, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is a remake of the 2010 classic. As a remaster, it has seen a significant graphical upgrade and contains all previously released DLC. EA has also implemented cross-play so that players can team up across platforms. 

PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay 

Release Date: November  6

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Based on the kid’s cartoon series, PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay is a new adventure game. Taking control of the cute dogs, players must save Adventure Bay. It will feature co-op and a series of mini-games to unlock.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is one of the most eagerly anticipated entries in the franchise for years. Set during the Viking invasion of Britain, players take control of a Viking raider named Eivor. There’s also a greater variety of weapons and a wider range of enemy types. Most importantly, even the main villains can be assassinated like in the older entries. 

Borderlands 3 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

Borderlands 3 is set to return with an enhanced next-gen edition. Free to anyone who already owns a copy of the game, it features 4K resolutions and a frame rate of 60 FPS. It will be available on launch day for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Bright Memory

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Xbox Series X

Bright Memory is a first-person shooter game with hack-and-slash elements. Already available on PC and mobile devices, the episodic experience is now coming to Xbox Series X. Meanwhile, the story sees players attempt to retrieve an ancient artifact that can bring the dead back to life.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is essentially an enhanced version of the original game. Releasing exclusively on next-gen consoles, it will support higher resolutions and frame rates. It will also include ray tracing and additional game modes that increase the game’s speed and difficulty. 

Evergate

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Xbox Series X

Evergate, a puzzle-platformer in the same style as Microsoft’s Ori, is coming to Xbox Series X as a launch title. While it has previously launched on Nintendo Switch and PC, the new version will have some enhancements. This includes a higher frame rate and 4K resolutions.

The Falconeer

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PC and Xbox One

The Falconeer is essentially an air combat game. But rather than have dogfights in a fighter jet, players take control of a bird of prey. There are a variety of warbird classes and each animal can be upgraded after gaining experience. The game also features an open-world narrative across the wide-open seas.

Fuser

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Fuser is a rhythm game developed by Harmonix, the team behind the Rock Band series. Rather than feature musical instruments, though, this is a DJ-orientated experience. It will also not require any accessories or extra peripherals. Instead, players can play with just their controllers.

Gears Tactics

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Xbox One and Xbox Series X

Gears Tactics is a spin-off from the Xbox exclusive third-person shooter series. Drawing comparisons to XCOM, this game is a turn-based strategy game. Already available on PC, it is coming to Xbox consoles with an array of new content and upgrades.

Liftoff: Drone Racing

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Liftoff: Drone Racing takes the excitement of real-life drone racing and translates it to consoles. Featuring a variety of environments, from parks to dazzlingly colorful courses, it is a fast-paced experience. 

Maneater

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

The shark-based action RPG is set to arrive on both next-gen systems on launch day. The game sees players take on the role of a baby shark after its mother has been killed. By completing quests and winning battles, the shark can grow stronger and get access to a range of new abilities.

NBA 2K21

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

2K Games caused controversy when it revealed the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 is more expensive than the current version. But the publisher has argued that the greater detail and better visuals are worth the extra cost. Players can decide for themselves from November 10.

Observer: System Redux 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X

Observer: System Redux is an enhanced version of the sci-fi horror game. Taking advantage of new technology such as ray tracing and HDR lighting, it should be a big graphical upgrade. The new edition also includes new character models and extra content such as side missions. 

Planet Coaster: Console Edition 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

Planet Coaster is a modern take on Rollercoaster Tycoon. Like the classic simulation game, it is focused on players building up their very own theme park. Now coming to consoles, it has been optimized so it can be easily played with a controller. The next-gen versions also feature enhanced graphical features.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a side-scrolling action platformer. Banished from her home, the goddess Sakuna has to travel the wilderness to find her place in the world. A unique gameplay mechanic forces players to cultivate rice to power up their special abilities.

Tetris Effect: Connected 

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Xbox One and Xbox Series X

Based on the PC and PlayStation 4 game Tetris Effect, this new title is a multiplayer remake. Although the gameplay is largely the same, players do have the ability to place several pieces at once. This is thanks to a new mechanic called zone. The game will be available on Xbox consoles as part of the Xbox Game Pass service.

Warhammer Chaosbane

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Xbox Series X

As one of the last fighters for humanity, Warhammer Chaosbane sees players attempt to hold back the forces of Chaos. With hack-and-slash gameplay and a wide array of character classes, this is a unique Warhammer game. It has previously been available on current-gen hardware but is now coming to Xbox Series X.

Watch Dogs Legion

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

The latest entry in Ubisoft’s hacking focused series, Watch Dogs Legion takes the action to London. For the first time, players can take control of multiplayer characters, who can permanently die. There will also be online multiplayer for co-op play. 

XIII Remake

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

XIII is a remake of the 2003 game of the same name. That title was a first-person shooter with a graphic novel visual style, based on a Belgian comic series. The new remake takes the same gameplay and style but with upgraded mechanics and graphics. 

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Release Date: November 10

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the eight mainline game in the Yakuza series. It has been available in Japan since January but has now been localized for Western audiences. Unlike older games, it features a new protagonist, although it has similar gameplay and game modes.

Astro’s Playroom

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PlayStation 5

Astro’s Playroom is not a game that players can buy. Instead, it will be loaded onto every single PlayStation 5 console and won’t have to be downloaded. Acting as a sequel to 2018’s Astro Bot Rescue Mission, it is a 3D platformer featuring a small robot. 

Bugsnax

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5

Bugsnax is a game where players have to explore a mysterious island filled with a new type of creature. These half-bug and half-snack critters need to be captured so the player can expose them to the world. There are more than 100 different Bugsnak species to collect in total across the island.

Demon’s Souls

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PlayStation 5

This PlayStation 5 exclusive is a remake of the original 2009 game. The spiritual predecessor to the Dark Souls franchise, Demon’s Souls is an incredibly difficult action RPG. The game should be a significant upgrade over the first game, making use of the next-gen console’s specs.

Esports Life Tycoon

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

As you might have guessed from the name, Esports Life Tycoon is all about managing an Esports team. Players will have to balance their crew, invest in new tech and training, and compete against other squads. The ultimate goal is to become the champion team when the game releases on consoles for the first time.

Family Feud 

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Ubisoft has licensed the Family Feud franchise and will release a game based on the TV series in November. Featuring more than 1,500 official surveys from the show, players can compete in two teams of five. There’s even the ability to run a live show, giving streamers the chance to interact with their audience. 

Godfall 

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PC and PlayStation 5

Published by Borderlands creator Gearbox, Godfalll is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. Set in a high fantasy world, players take control of an exalted knight. They must then combine the elements of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit to prevent an apocalyptic event. Described as a looter-slasher, it offers five distinct weapon classes to choose from.

Just Dance 2021

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Just Dance 2021 is the latest game entry in the dance rhythm series. Although there won’t be much in the way of gameplay innovation. However, there will be a collection of new songs added to the library. They include “Blinding Lights” by The Weekend and “Dance monkey” by Tones and I.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales 

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone expansion to Marvel’s Spider-Man. This time around, the main character is Miles Morales rather than Peter Parker. The game will launch on both PlayStation consoles and feature the Tinkerer as the main villain.

The Pathless

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5

Action-adventure game The Pathless sees players taking control of the Hunter as she tries to lift a curse. Played from a third-person perspective, it tasks users with shooting talismans to charge a dash ability. Combined with an eagle companion, this lets the player navigate through the world. 

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Release Date: November 12

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

Another first-party game from Sony, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is the latest entry in the LittleBigPlanet series. This time around the action takes place in a fully 3D world and also features four-player co-op gameplay.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Release Date: November 13

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

Treyarch is returning to the Black Ops series with a soft reboot. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War acts as a direct sequel to the first game, continuing the story. It will also involve the return of the Zombies game mode and introduce new content into Warzone.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory

Release Date: November 13

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Unlike other games in the series, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is a rhythm action game. Developed by indieszero and Square Enix, it tells the story of the entire franchise. Featuring multiplayer and singleplayer action, the game revolves around carefully timing button presses. Failing to do so will result in characters losing health and eventually dying.

Mars Horizon 

Release Date: November 17

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Mars Horizon is a strategy simulation game where players try to lead humanity to Mars. This will involve building rockets, researching objects in the solar system, and conducting missions. Starting at the dawn of the space age, it is up to players to develop an effective and successful space agency.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate 

Release Date: November 17

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

This new edition of Mortal Kombat 11 includes everything in the base game along with all released DLC. That includes the upcoming introduction of Rambo into the fighting series for the first time. There’s also enhancements for next-gen consoles and some gameplay balance changes.

Monster Truck Championship

Release Date: November 19

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Anyone who has ever wanted to experience the thrill of driving a monster truck is now in luck. Monster Truck Championship is a simulator based on racing the huge vehicles around custom tracks. In total, players can choose between 16 different trucks and 25 purpose built arenas.

Katamari Damacy Reroll

Release Date: November 20

Platforms: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Katamari Damacy Reroll is a remaster of the original roll-em-up game. Available on PC since 2018, it is finally coming to consoles. The updated release includes upgraded graphics and full HD cutscenes. 

Football Manager 2021

Release Date: November 24

Platforms: PC

Football Manager 2021 is set to be the ultimate soccer simulation experience. Players are thrust into the role of leading their club to victory and have to manage every aspect. Whether it’s training, tactics, or contract negotiations, it’s up to you to decide on the best course of action. The new release boasts upgraded visuals and new mechanics to make the game even more in-depth.
