Nintendo and the Pokémon Company have dropped a new Japanese trailer for the upcoming Switch game Pokémon Snap. In this trailer, fans can glimpse graphics, gameplay, and special events within the game itself.
The trailer is six minutes and focuses primarily on showing off gameplay. And the general theme of the trailer (which bears the title “Lental Region Snap Guide”) is to guide new players through how to navigate and succeed in this colorful world.
If you pay close attention, the trailer walks you through how to take pictures of various Pokémon (which is a cornerstone of playing the game) and how to improve the overall quality of your photography. Along the way, you’ll learn more about how to navigate these levels and how different combinations of actions will lead to different Pokémon appearing.
Interestingly, the gameplay extends beyond the game itself. While an in-game professor (who is different from Professor Oak) will judge the quality of your photos, players have the option to edit and share photos with their friends in the real world as well.
While the trailer gives you a good idea of what the game is like, you can also check out some adorable Japanese commercials for this game below. And be sure to check out the game itself when it releases on April 30!
