Blizzard has revealed that it will be “talking more” about its upcoming game Overwatch 2 during BlizzConline next year.
In a developer update video posted this week, game director Jeff Kaplan outlined the developer’s plans to unveil Overwatch 2 during the February event, which is set to be held remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kaplan also announced that the original Overwatch is set to receive a free update that will include a new map called Kanezaka. However, the developer also confirmed that the team are now concentrating almost fully on the sequel, meaning further content updates are unlikely in the future.
BlizzConline is scheduled to take place February 19–20, 2021. The publisher has previously spoken about how it will use the online-only event to reveal more details about the upcoming dungeon crawler RPG Diablo IV, with Blizzard suggesting a new class might be revealed during the conference.
