Activision began to tease a new Crash Bandicoot game this week by sending out a puzzle to some members of the press. But Activision wouldn’t be Activision if there were no leaks. So, we still found out some details before the official announcement: the Taiwan game rating website has the name, the cover, and a brief description of the game. The title is Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
Here is the synopsis for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time:
“Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.”
The Taiwan game ratings site mentions versions of Crash Bandicoot 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The cover for Xbox One also states that the game will be compatible with Xbox Series X (via Smart Delivery).
It’s expected that the official announcement of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will take place on June 22 during the Summer Game Fest. Geoff Keighley promised some big announcement on this day.
