Nintendo fans who love Doom have been waiting for Doom Eternal’s port to the Switch. Now, it looks like the iconic game will be releasing for Nintendo’s console on December 8.
It’s been a pretty long wait. After all, the title originally came out for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and even Stadia way back in March. Nintendo fans have been waiting nine months or so for this port, but will it live up to the hype?
Nintendo seems to think so. Not only did they confirm the game’s December 8 release date, but they launched an awesome trailer highlighting gameplay on the Switch.
More important details about this port: it will only run at 30 FPS, and it will only be available as a digital copy. Finally, the game’s DLC content (such as The Ancient Gods: Part One) will not be available until a later, unannounced date.
Overall, the port is exciting news for Doom fans. We loved Doom Eternal when it first came out, and a chance to play it on the go (especially after the quality of the 2016 Doom port) is quite awesome.
