Valve’s Dota 2 remains one of the most popular online games in the world. Now, the Dota franchise is getting its own anime series titled DOTA: Dragon’s Blood.
The eight-episode series will debut on Netflix on March 25, 2021.
Here is the official description from Netflix:
“The upcoming fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.”
In Dota 2, Davion is a durable melee fighter with an Elder Dragon Form as his ultimate ability. And Mirana is a ranged agility fighter that stuns enemies with her Sacred Arrow and rides around on a tiger named Sagan.
Time will tell how faithfully this show adapts the video game. But with animation from Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender), DOTA: Dragon’s Blood should definitely be worth checking out!
