The Entertainment Software Association has announced the Official E3 Awards Show will take place on Tuesday, June 15, the final day of E3 2021. A broadcast time for the event has not yet been announced.
E3 2021 will take place entirely online for free from June 12–15. Editors from IGN, GameSpot, PC Gamer and GamesRadar+ will choose the winners of the awards show, picking from games showcased during the four-day event. They will determine the “Most Anticipated” titles from each participating publisher and developer, as well as choose an overall “Most Anticipated” game of E3 2021.
“For this year’s event, we are collaborating with editors at some of the world’s leading video game media outlets to create the Official E3 2021 Awards Show, recognizing the show’s most anticipated games,” said ESA President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis in a press release. “The broadcast is going to be packed with exciting announcements and reveals, and celebrating innovative publishers and developers is an ideal way to close E3 2021.”
E3’s official Twitter account later clarified that the “broadcast… with exciting announcements and reveals” refers to the entire E3 digital event and not just the awards ceremony.
E3 2021 will be hosted by Greg Miller, Jacki Jing and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez.
You can stream the event live starting on June 12 at E3’s official Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook channels, as well as through the official E3 2021 portal and app. Visit the official E3 2021 site for more details.
