Final Fantasy III Gets First New Update in 6 Years

February 28, 2020

Six years after Final Fantasy III came out on PC, Square Enix has just released a big patch for it.

Now in Final Fantasy III for PC, iOS and Android, there is:

  • Gallery mode: illustrations, character sketches, documentation, as well as the full OST
  • Auto Battle option: the characters repeat the last action at double speed
  • New languages: traditional Chinese (Steam version), simplified Chinese (Steam version), Thai, and Japanese

The PC version via Steam has also added:

  • Brand new interface with gamepad optimization and small option changes for keyboard, mouse and touch screens
  • Full Screen mode, including a 21:9 aspect ratio

And that is not all: Final Fantasy III is 50% off on Steam until March 2. Thanks, Square Enix, that’s quite unexpected.
