On Wednesday, it was reported that the German government would ban all large public events through August, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now it is confirmed that Gamescom 2020, normally held in Cologne, Germany, will be held exclusively online.
Geoff Keighley also made it clear that all-digital event will stream live on August 24.

Earlier, a huge list of companies that were planning to take part in the exhibition was published. We may expect to see such announcements as Resident Evil 4 Remake or even Resident Evil 8 from Capcom, new Doom Eternal story DLCs from Bethesda and even Modern Warfare 2 Remastered!
