Nintendo has announced a brand new limited edition Switch console to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.
The console is mainly colored in a bright red shade commonly worn by the famous plumber. However, it also comes with blue highlights, such as on the Joy-Con grips and the carry case. You can see a variety of images of the console in the tweet below.
Officially called the Mario Red & Blue Edition, the console is a limited edition Switch that will be available at select retailers from February 12.
Priced at $299, this limited edition console is the same price as the regular version. That means it is likely to sell out quite quickly and could very well make its way onto reseller sites.
This is not the only special release to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Italian-American hero. Last year’s Nintendo released Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the battle royale game Super Mario 35. The company is also planning to launch Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on February 12 alongside the new console.
