The Resident Evil 3 Remake free game demo is live now on Steam. And in this time of social distancing, now is the perfect time to try it.
Although it took me only 20 minutes to get through the end, there are some details that I’ve been able to notice. First, Capcom’s remake formula is still awesome and plays fresh. New dash mechanics work perfect when your health is low and you need to get through a narrow aisle full of walking dead dudes. Everything else is mostly like its predecessor RE 2 Remake: a detailed nightmarish atmosphere of complete, awesome gameplay exploration, and zombies that just won’t die from two-to-three shots.
Jill looks and behaves as a badass like she is prepared for this hell. For these few moments of her dialogue, I wanted to completely forget any of her previous representations. When it comes to Nemesis, it seemed to be a big step forward after Mr. X. For the most part, I was just running away without any problems. Although he didn’t really bother me, his grabbing attacks look intense. After all, this is just a demo — I’m sure that he is a big problem during the full game.
So yes, this is an absolute win from Capcom and one more game that you cannot miss if you like video games at all. Let’s just wait till April 3 and have it all.
