It’s hard to believe, but we’re coming up on the 20th anniversary of the Xbox next week, and Microsoft has announced its plans to celebrate.
The main event is the Xbox Anniversary Celebration livestream, which takes place on Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. GMT on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. The livestream will be celebrating the history of the Xbox over the years, so don’t expect to hear any new game announcements during the event.
Also coming next week, Microsoft is making changes to the badge that typically displays how long you have been on Xbox Live or Game Pass. Microsoft is promising that players will get colorful new badges, but we don’t know exactly what these will look like yet.
If you’d like to prove yourself the biggest Xbox fan, or just kick off the celebration a bit early, you can always sign up for the Xbox FanFest trivia contest. It begins on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. GMT.
Whether or not you participate in the trivia event, you can also check out the broadcast for details on multiple Xbox 20th Anniversary giveaways. While we don’t know what items will be up for giveaway, you can check out the Xbox Gear Shop, which already features 20th anniversary merchandise for sale.
