Remedy ran a broadcast where they showed the second Control DLC called AWE. Not only was gameplay shown but also some new details were revealed.
So, the DLC’s events begin with a mysterious distress signal, calling on Jesse Faden to the sector that was closed many years ago. That’s where Alan Wake gets in touch with the protagonist.
It will take 4–5 hours to get through AWE. Among the novelties are assignments from Ahti, a hostile flying ranger and the mechanics of light and darkness, similar to the ones presented in Alan Wake (2010).
AWE will release on August 27. On the same day, Steam will release Control Ultimate Edition, which contains the game itself, two add-ons (The Foundation and AWE) and all released updates. The release for consoles and the Epic Games Store is scheduled for September 10.
