June 16, 2020

There is one day left in Sony’s massive Days of Play Sale, which ends Wednesday, June 17. Now is the perfect time to grab a few great games at fantastic prices!

However, there are so many titles on sale during the Days of Play event that it can be overwhelming to go through the entire catalog. So, here are the best deals you should grab in the Days of Play sale while you can!

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition — $19.99

Following the announcement of Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the PS5, this is the perfect time to jump into Marvel’s Spider-Man. The game is gorgeous, plays very smoothly, and offers tons of fun content in the base game. The Game of the Year edition includes all three expansion packs, as well.

These expansion packs continue the story after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and offers a ton of new side content to enjoy. For $19.99 USD, this is a deal that’s pretty hard to beat.

Doom Eternal — $38.99

Doom Eternal is a fairly recent release that offers a lot of value for the price. Depending on what kinds of games you enjoy, Doom Eternal has the potential to be highly replayable. The main campaign is comprised of high speed, smooth action and tons of unique enemies to contend with. Fans of Doom 2016 will also notice that this game has improved upon virtually every aspect that made it so great.

Eternal also includes a multiplayer mode that is good for quite a bit of fun. This mode is being regularly updated, so there is surely some more content for it to come. At $38.99 USD, this might be the perfect time to grab an easy-to-love shooter for those warm days ahead.

Persona 5 Royal — $44.99

Fans of JRPGs will appreciate this deal. The massive expansion and remake of Persona 5 released recently to high acclaim. However, that $60 price tag may have been a bit hard for owners of the original Persona 5 to stomach. However, at $44.99 USD, this game may be a bit more accessible to many.

For what it’s worth, however, the game is fully worth buying at full price. Persona 5 Royal clocks in at about 140 hours of playtime, and adds tons of quality of life changes. This makes it worthwhile to both new players of the Persona series and for old fans of the series.

Red Dead Redemption 2 — $26.99

Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the biggest games of 2018. However, there might be quite a few people who haven’t gotten to try this excellent Western out just yet. Of course, it offers a heavy amount of content, a great story, and a pretty alright multiplayer component.

For any fans of Red Dead Redemption or the Grand Theft Auto series, this is the perfect time to adopt this cowboy story. At $26.99 USD, customers are getting a ton of high-quality game for a low price.

Borderlands 3 — $29.99

Borderlands 3 is a fun game with four great characters to play as. Each character has a unique play style and flair all their own to master. Naturally, this adds quite a bit of replayability to the game. Especially when you take into account that each character can be played in several ways.

While the story isn’t quite as great as Borderlands 2, the third installment of the Borderlands series is most certainly worth a try. With the price being $29.99 USD, this is a great opportunity to give this shooter looter a bit of attention.

Dark Souls III Digital Deluxe Edition — $13.59

The thing to keep in mind about this deal is that the price is usually $84.99 USD. With the price now at $13.49, it is most definitely worth taking a look at this game, even if you know nothing about Dark Souls.

Fortunately, Dark Souls III is often considered pretty friendly to newcomers. Of course, this is a game series known for punishing gameplay, but it’s still fairly accessible. If you’re a fan of dark fantasy, challenging gameplay, or terrific RPGs, then Dark Souls III might be a game for you!

Spyro + Crash Remastered Bundle — $37.49

Whether you grew up with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon or if you’re simply looking for a couple of fun platformers, this bundle is a fantastic option. For $37.49 USD, you will be getting two full trilogies of games.

The six games featured are classics of the PS1 era of gaming, except now they have been remade for modern players. The games look gorgeous, play well, and will most certainly be worth every penny.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Ultimate Edition — $29.99

Usually priced at $119.99 USD, this edition of one of the best Assassin’s Creed games is now down to $29.99. Odyssey is actually worth that price by itself, as the base game is quite good and absolutely packed with content. However, the Ultimate edition comes with the base game, a season pass featuring six downloadable episodes, as well as the entirety of Assassin’s Creed III Remastered.

It should also be noted that Assassin’s Creed III Remastered comes with Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, as well. Naturally, the Ultimate edition also comes with some in-game goodies, too. As such, this game is an absolute steal at $29.99.

Death Stranding — $23.99

Hideo Kojima’s latest adventure is on sale during the Days of Play for $23.99 USD. This is a lengthy game boasting a fascinating story and a pretty unique gameplay loop. While this game may not be for everyone, there is a pretty large fanbase that adores it.

If you enjoy paranormal oddities, Hideo Kojima weirdness, or relaxing gameplay mixed with tense action, then Death Stranding may be worth a look. It’s certainly a good deal for the price point it’s at, too.
