September 9, 2020

On Tuesday, Bloomberg revealed new information regarding Nintendo Switch, its distribution, and specifications of a new Switch model.

First of all, Nintendo wants to increase production of the current Switch model. They are aiming to produce 30 million units by the end of the current fiscal year, March 31, 2021. This is due to the increased demand for entertainment during the COVID-19 pandemic and the incredible success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In addition, Bloomberg reported that Nintendo is actively preparing to release a new Switch model in 2021. Also, the outlet said that several third-party developers, speaking anonymously, were asked by Nintendo to make their new games ready for 4K resolution. So, a resolution upgrade is apparently in the works.

Meanwhile, Super Mario 3D Allstars is doing great on Amazon. Available for pre-order, it is already the number two best-seller after Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Check out what else was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, dedicated to Super Mario Bros.’ 35th anniversary.
