WoW Classic Herbalism Guide

January 28, 2021

Herbalism is one of the most rewarding professions in World of Warcraft Classic. But if you want to take your Herbalism from Level 1 to Level 300, you’ve got a long road ahead of you!

But leveling up Herbalism is much easier if you know who to visit and what to do. That’s why we put together the definitive WoW Classic herbalism guide.

Ready to get started? First, a brief overview of what this guide does and doesn’t do.

What This Guide Does (and Doesn’t) Do

Keep in mind that this is a Classic WoW Herbalism guide. If you are looking for something for regular WoW (such as a Legion Herbalism leveling guide), you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Aside from that, this vanilla WoW Herbalism Guide has you covered regardless of your faction. That means it is a Horde and Alliance Herbalism guide all rolled into one!

To start your classic Herbalism journey, check out the list of trainers and their locations for each faction.

Leveling By Zone

Our Herbalism guide for Wow Classic is broken up by zones. There are certain zones that are best when you are first beginning to level up your profession. But if you want to hit Level 300, you’re going to need to travel far and wide!

But don’t worry: our WoW herbalism guide will tell you exactly where you should go and exactly when you need to move to another zone!

Level 1-50

The Herbalism profession starts out simply enough. For the first 50 levels, we recommend that you stick with the following zones: Mulgore, Durotar, Elwynn Forest, Tirisfal Glades, Dun Morogh, and Teldrassil.

In these zones, you will find the following herbs: Earthroot, Peacebloom, and Silverleaf. Once you hit level 50, though, it’s time to move on. And our Level 1-300 Herbalism guide will tell you exactly where to go.

Level 50-115

Before you start traveling, you need to visit your Herbalism trainer. They will help you learn the Herbalism Journeyman skill before you head out.

For Levels 50-115, we recommend that you stick with the following zones: Silverpine Forest, Barrens, Darkshore, and Loch Modan.

In these zones, you will find the following herbs: Mageroyal, Stranglekelp, and Briarthorn. At first you will only be able to find Mageroyal. That is because you cannot pick Briarthorn until you are at Herbalism Level 70 and you cannot pick Stranglekelp until you are at Herbalism Level 85.

Level 115-170

The next section of our Herbalism leveling guide is going to take you to more exotic lands. However, just like before, you shouldn’t head out until you visit with your trainer first!

For Levels 115-170, we recommend that you stick with the following zones: Wetlands, Hillsbrad Foothills, and Stonetalon Mountains.

In these zones, you will find the following herbs: Bruiseweed, Stranglekelp, Wild Steelbloom, Kingsblood, and Liferoot.

You won’t be able to pick everything right away, though. You must have Herbalism Level 125 to pick Kingsblood and Level 150 to pick Liferoot.

Level 170-205

Hopefully, our WoW Classic Herbalism leveling guide is helping speed your training along. Believe it or not, you’re just getting started!

For Levels 170-205, we recommend that you stick with the following zones: Arathi Highlands and Stranglethorn Vale.

In these zones, you will find the following herbs: Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Liferoot, Kingsblood, and Khadgar’s Whisker. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to pick Khadgar’s Whisker until you are at Herbalism Level 185.

Levels 205-230

The next steps in our WoW vanilla Herbalism guide are pretty straightforward. But before you do anything else, you need to visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Artisan.

For Levels 205-230, we recommend that you stick with the following zones: Searing Gorge and Tanaris.

In these zones, you will find the following herbs: Firebloom and Purple Lotus.

Levels 230-270

Is our WoW Classic Herbalism leveling guide keeping you on track? That’s good, because the finish line is getting closer!

For Levels 230-270, we recommend that you stick with the following zone: The Hinterlands.

In this zone, you will find the following herbs: Golden Sansam, Purple Lotus, Sungrass, and Ghost Mushroom. But you won’t be able to pick the Ghost Mushroom until you are at Herbalism Level 245.

Levels 270-300

Buckle up, adventurers: this Classic Herbalism Leveling Guide is about to take you across the finish line!

For Levels 270-300, we recommend that you stick with the following zone: Felwood.

In this zone, you will find the following herbs: Dreamfoil, Golden Sansam, Gromsblood, Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom, and Sungrass.

Once you hit level 300, congratulations! You’ve completed our World of Warcraft Herbalism guide and maxed out your chosen profession.
