The madness never ends. Sega and Ryu ga Gotoku Studio just dropped a new gameplay video of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Here we can see lots of new features like the ability to summon a friendly character in order to help; gaining and changing Ichiban’s profession (some kind of character class with unique skills); a turn-based combat system (which is also new to the series) and a lot of other possible ways to entertain yourself during the game.
If this description seems boring or ordinary to you, just check out the gameplay video below. For example, the magic baseball bat wrapped in a chain looks absolutely crazy and cool at the same time. Nice to realize that such a long saga like Yakuza is getting a breath of fresh air.
Quick reminder for those who missed the news: the story of Kazuma Kiryu and Tokyo gang wars has come to the end. Now we are presented with a new main character: his name is Ichiban Kasuga and he is way more expressive and outspoken than Kazuma was. He agreed to go to jail instead of someone else, thinking that will help him to build criminal career but was cheated and now it’s time for revenge. The plot will mostly take place at Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan and, as I mentioned above, this is the first Yakuza game with turn-based combat. Awesome!
