The recently released launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 contains a hidden message for eagle-eyed fans who are dedicated enough to spot it.
The trailer, which can be seen above, includes a thank you directly from CD Projekt Red at the end. It expresses gratitude to fans for supporting the studio and showing patience throughout the title’s various delays. The message also discusses the developer’s plan for future expansions and DLC.
The hidden message appears at the 2:09 mark and was first spotted by PCGamer.
The hidden message says, in part: “We’ve mentioned before expansions will be coming, and while we’re not ready to talk specifics just yet, we will say that we’ve learned a lot from our work on both Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.
“Our planned expansions will take you even deeper into the world of Cyberpunk 2077, offering substantial, story-driven content that’ll give you tough choices to make through impactful narratives that you won’t soon forget.”
CD Projekt Red also confirmed in the hidden message that players can “expect an assortment of free DLC packs to begin hitting Night City” in early 2021. This suggests the new game will be following the post-launch formula set by The Witcher 3, including both larger premium expansions and smaller DLC packs at no extra cost.
Cybperunk 2077 is due to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 10, with a next-gen versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S coming in the near future.
