Elden Ring Delayed Until February 2022

October 18, 2021

Fantasy fans have been absolutely aching to play FromSoftware’s upcoming game Elden Ring. Unfortunately, developers confirmed this title has now been delayed to February 25, 2022.

As delays go, this one isn’t so bad. Rather than aiming for the holiday season, this game was originally slated to come out on January 21, 2022. Fans that have been willing to wait this long probably won’t mind a delay that is just over a month, especially if the delay provides for a better game.

In an announcement on Twitter, the devs admitted that the “depth & strategic freedom” of the game led to some unexpected delays. In theory, a little extra time can add up to a much more polished gameplay experience.

If the wait is killing you, keep in mind the game is getting a console-only network test this November. And you can always return to that glorious E3 trailer and let your hype build all over again.

Speaking of hype, do you think Elden Ring will live up to its rep or end up being a disappointment? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
