Epic Games Is Now Valued at $17.3 Billion

After another successful round of investments, which brought Epic Games an additional $1.78 billion, the company’s value is now estimated at $17.3 billion.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, just two years ago the value of Epic Games was estimated at $8 billion, and in 2012 it was estimated at $825 million.

One of the investors of this latest funding round is Sony, which invested $250 million in Epic Games to strengthen their relationship, as well as to expand cooperation.

Recall that Epic Games has developed the Unreal Engine, Fortnite, and the digital Epic Game Store. They are currently working to release the Unreal Engine 5 in 2021. The head of the company remains its founder Tim Sweeney.
