Leak Suggests Tales from the Borderlands Is Coming to Next-Gen Consoles

January 19, 2021

It looks as though Tales from the Borderlands could be coming to next-gen consoles in the near future as a new special collection.

Reddit users have noticed that PEGI, the rating board for games in Europe, has a listing for the title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This listing provides a release date of December 18, 2020, which has come and gone, meaning that the game could be close to launching soon.

Further hints that a new version of Tales from the Borderlands is on the way comes from SteamDB. The page for the title lists several new builds of the game that have recently been uploaded to Steam, suggesting that the developer has been testing the release ahead of its official launch.

Tales from the Borderlands is a graphic adventure game that originally launched in 2014. A spin-off from the main series, it featured new characters and a separate story — although many of the individuals from the title later showed up in subsequent Borderlands games.

While there has been no official word about an enhanced or remastered edition of the title, a trailer that leaked on Reddit last year suggests Tales from the Borderlands Redux is in development.
