Limbo Developer Working on New Third-Person Sci-Fi Project

January 22, 2021

Playdead, the developer behind hit indie games Limbo and Inside, has revealed it is working on a third-person sci-fi adventure game as its next project. The information comes from the Jobs page on its website, which says the game will be “set in a remote corner of the universe.”

Unfotunately, the announcement did not provide much else in the way of detail. Playdead did not anounce a name for the game, what platforms it will be available on, or when it will launch.

The developer currently has 12 positions available on its site that it is hiring for. Considering that Playdead is still building its team for the project, its release date could still be some way off. However, the job listings did reveal some images for the game, which you can view below.

Whatever this new game ends up being, it will be published by Epic Games. This suggests that the title will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store — at least on PC.
