Daniel Vávra is one of the leading creators of Mafia. On Wednesday, he tweeted that he is not involved in the production of the remake that was announced recently by 2K Games.
Vávra was leading designer, scriptwriter, and director of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. He held similar positions during Mafia II development. The third Mafia was created without Vávra. He left 2K Games in 2009, and founded Warhorse Studios (Kingdom Come: Deliverance) a couple years later.
Recall that the Mafia remake will have some extended plot and new possibilities. We have no idea what exactly is meant by this. Some official details about Mafia: Trilogy will be announced on May 19.
