Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster Is Reportedly Happening

May 7, 2020

As it became known from Tuesday’s quarterly report,  Electronic Arts is going to release 14 games, including a project in the EA HD line, through April 2021. It is easy to assume that the company was talking about another remaster. Seems like this is true.

According to Jeff Grubb from VentureBeat, the publisher is remastering the Mass Effect trilogy: “Oh, and that HD remaster of an EA game is the Mass Effect Trilogy. Just don’t expect that to also launch on Switch — at least not at first.”

Of course, we can’t expect that there will be the remakes of three Mass Effect parts at once, but most probably we can count on the remastered versions. In the January report for investors, EA mentioned four games based on the “breadth of EA’s IP.” One of these projects is the Command & Conquer remaster, while the other (or the other three) is, presumably, the Mass Effect trilogy.

The remastered versions will probably be presented at the EA Play Live 2020 event, which will take place on June 11 at 4 p.m. PST.
