Monster Hunter Rise Coming to PC in 2022

February 26, 2021

Capcom has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch exclusive game Monster Hunter Rise will come to PC next year.

The publisher announced today that the game is under development but still in the early stages, meaning its release is still some way off. Nintendo also likely has some sort of exclusivity deal in place to ensure the Switch is the only platform to play the new title on in the near future.

Speaking in an interview with IGN, Monster Hunter Rise producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained that the team has received a lot of questions from fans about a PC port.

“We received a lot of requests for a PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, particularly from overseas players, and so we have decided to develop a version for PC, which we aim to release in early 2022,” said Tsujimoto. “This is still under development, so I’d like to share more detailed information when the time is right.”

Although Capcom has previously not revealed that Monster Hunter Rise would be available for other platforms, a major leak earlier in the year suggested a PC version was in the works.

Monster Hunter Rise is set to launch on March 26 for Switch.
