More Titanfall content looks to be coming to Apex Legends soon, with the two games becoming more interconnected as part of the battle royale’s Season 9 launch.
In a recent Twitch stream from BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex Legends senior writer Ashley Reeds explained that Titanfall will be more heavily integrated into Apex Legends in the future.
“What’s going on in Titanfall is a war. Apex is what happens after the war, like what is life like in this place?” she said. “So we’re trying to integrate Titanfall into that, because Titanfall’s very much a part of the universe.”
In another clip from the panel, game director Chad Grenier said, “Next season, Season 9, you’re actually going to see a ton of Titanfall coming back into the game, in one way or another. I’ve told some people before, if you’re a Titanfall fan, hang on for Season 9 because there’s gonna be some really cool stuff there.”
Exactly what this means in terms of content for Apex Legends is not clear as of yet. There have previously only been hints and small references to Titanfall in the battle royale game, despite the fact that they share the same universe.
But that looks set to change in the near future when the connection between the two series becomes more explicit. Whether that means characters from Titanfall showing up in Apex Legends or additional lore is still up for debate at this point.
