Rick May, Voice of Soldier from Team Fortress 2, Has Died from COVID-19

Rick May, the guy who gave his voice to Soldier in Team Fortress 2, has died because of COVID-19 at the age of 80. It was announced by the Rekindle School in Seattle, Washington where Rick May taught.

Among other things, May voiced characters in Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, Star Fox 64, Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. He also had an accomplished theatrical career, acting in or directing over 300 productions ranging from Shakespeare to musical comedies.

Previously, May had defeated cancer. In February 2020, he suffered a stroke, after which he was in rehab at a nursing home, where he contracted the coronavirus.
