Rockstar Games is going to support small businesses and communities that have been affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. Rockstar will donate a percentage of sales of two its most popular games to COVID-19 relief efforts, the company announced in a tweet.
Through the end of May, Rockstar will donate 5% of its sales from Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. “These funds will be used to help local communities and businesses struggling with the impacts of COVID-19, both directly and by supporting some of the amazing organizations who are on the ground helping those affected by this crisis,” the company said. “As things progress, we will share more on these efforts.”
Previously, Rockstar and EA implemented a work from home mandate, just like CD Projekt RED.
