Spider-Man: No Way Home Is Coming To Streaming Soon but Not Disney+

February 7, 2022

Normally, Disney+ is the best place to stream Disney’s Marvel movies. But last year, Sony made a deal to stream their films on Netflix first before they’ll come to Disney+. So, as a Disney-Sony co-production, which streaming service will Spider-Man: No Way Home arrive on first? The answer is… Starz.

The story of how this ended up happening is almost as tangled as the web of any good Spidey adventure. Although Sony’s films will stream on Netflix first and then come to Disney+, this deal only applies to their 2022–2026 film releases. Because No Way Home came out in late 2021, it does not fall under Sony’s agreement with Disney. Instead, it falls under the umbrella of a previous deal Sony made that grants Starz the initial streaming rights for any Sony films released theatrically until the end of 2021.

So, when does Spider-Man: No Way Home come to streaming? According to a Deadline report, Spider-Man: No Way Home will land on Starz sometime in the next six months. It will remain there exclusively for 18 months. While No Way Home will eventually end up on Disney+, it may be upwards of two years before that happens!

This may give fans a powerful incentive to buy the movie on Blu-Ray or digital download instead of waiting to stream it. Spider-Man: No Way Home is estimated to arrive on digital HD via iTunes and Prime Video on March 1, 2022, according to DVDsreleasedates.com. The Blu-ray is estimated to come out sometime that month.

Considering how quickly No Way Home shattered box office records, it is certain to be a major hit on the home market.
