Syberia: The World Before is a new continuation of the famous adventure game series with the same name. The game was announced back in summer 2019 and we haven’t heard anything about it since then. Now, developer Microids and Syberia creator Benoît Sokal have released a new trailer and a demo version called Prologue on Steam (for free).
So, there will be two main characters, as well as two timelines. In Taiga, 2004, Kate Walker, the series’ main protagonist, tries to survive in the salt mine where she has been imprisoned. In Vaghen, 1937, Dana Roze, a talented 17-year-old pianist, is going to face the dawn of World War II.
The creators promise “a rich and captivating story,” some iconic characters and a wonderful symphonic soundtrack composed by Inon Zur (Syberia 3, Fallout, Dragon Age, Prince of Persia).
Syberia: The World Before will be released in 2021 on PC.
