THQ Nordic Showcase: All the Major Announcements and Trailers

September 17, 2021

Today, THQ Nordic unveiled its 10th anniversary showcase, the publisher’s first ever livestream event. And we’ve got a roundup of all the biggest announcements and trailers below!

Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed

Last year, we got a remake of Destroy All Humans. Now, this remake of that game’s sequel promises tweaks to weapons, levels, and (best of all) building destruction. It releases for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2022.

Outcast 2 – A New Beginning

It’s never too late for a sequel! The original Outcast came out back in 1999, and we are finally getting a sequel decades later. In this game, you’ll be fighting robots on the planet of Adelpha, and the combination of cool gadgets and third-person gameplay looks engaging. Outcast 2 will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. No release date has been announced.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake

SpongeBob SquarePants has been entertaining generations of fans, but the games for this popular character have often been hit or miss. This new game from the makers of Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated has SpongeBob and Patrick on a mission to find and rescue their lost friends. This game will be coming soon on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

SuperPower 3

While SuperPower 2 came out back in 2004, we are finally getting a PC-exclusive sequel. In this strategy game, players decide whether they will be ushering in a new era of global peace or if they will use their plans and powers to take over the world!

Jagged Alliance 3

Jagged Alliance 2 came out back in 1999, and while there have been other attempts to revive the series, this is the first time we are getting a proper sequel. This is another PC-exclusive title, and if you look closely at the trailer, you will discover some very familiar mercenary characters!

Elex 2

We don’t know much about Elex 2 yet except that it is an open-world science fiction romp that pits players against scary aliens. But based on this trailer, we’d love to see more.

MX vs ATV Legends

If you’re a fan of offroad racing games, this title promises to bring both speed and thrills to next-generation consoles. MX vs ATV Legends is coming out on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and we can’t wait to see how intense these races are going to get.

Expeditions: Rome

Rome if you want to? Expeditions: Rome is a CRPG title that puts you in charge of your own Roman legion. Your decisions in this turn-based game will determine whether your legion makes history or is forgotten in time altogether. This PC game is expected to launch by the end of 2021.
