Total War: Warhammer 3 Delayed to 2022

September 13, 2021

Fans have been greatly anticipating the release of Total War: Warhammer 3, which was expected this year. Now, though, developer Creative Assembly has verified that the game will not come out until early 2022.

While disappointing, video game delays, especially for major titles, are becoming increasingly common. And the official statement about the delay strikes the same note most delay statements strike about how this delay should lead to “a stronger release and the best first step into a new era for Total War: Warhammer.”

In fact, the statement makes it quite clear that this is not the end of one era for the franchise but the beginning of a new era. “We don’t consider this release the end of our trilogy, but the start of years of content and support as we continue to bring the jaw-dropping scale of Games Workshop’s fantasy universe to Total War,” Creative Assembly said.

Fans of Warhammer lore have a lot to look forward to when this game releases. We are going to see new lands, including ones that belong to the Ice Queen Kieslev. We will also see the debut of four Chaos factions: Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and Tzeentch. Finally, we’ll be seeing the debut of the Grand Cathay faction, and the developer is promising a closer look at this faction for tomorrow.

Will you be playing this game, perhaps to deliver “blood for the blood god?” Let us know in the comments!
