Cyberpunk 2077 Does Not Require 200 GB of Disk Space, CDPR Confirms

September 2, 2020

CD Projekt RED has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will take less than 200 GB of disk space.

On Tuesday, Nvidia introduced a new generation of graphics cards that can upload data directly from disk storage to the video chip bypassing CPU. One of the first games that will be able to use it is Cyberpunk 2077.

Nvidia noted that next-generation games are problematic for data input/output, as they take up to 200 GB of disk space. This statement was accompanied by a screenshot from Cyberpunk 2077, so some players decided that the role-playing action will take up to 200 GB.

However, this information was denied by CD Projekt RED community manager Marcin Momot, who assured gamers that Cyberpunk 2077 will take less than 200 GB of disk space. In addition, Momot said that the system requirements of the game will be presented soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19. However, before the release of the game, we will see the third episode of Night City Wire, where more details will be given.
