Fortnite already has its own movie theater which holds premieres of trailers and excerpts from upcoming blockbusters. The next step is obvious — to show the whole movies!
On Thursday, Fortnite had a special event: the premiere of the new trailer for Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie. Geoff Keighley took an interview from John David Washington, the lead actor in Tenet. You can check out this interview here:
In the end, Keighley announced that one of Nolan’s movies will be shown in Fortnite this summer. He didn’t specify which one, but it’s likely to be Inception, which celebrates its 10th anniversary on July 8.
So, Fortnite is slowly becoming not just a online game but a social platform for different media announcements.
Recall that previously there was the “Astronomical” event where Travis Scott revealed his new song. Thanks to this event, Fortnite reached a new record of online players. Also, Fortnite showed some exclusive scenes from Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker back in December.
